One Week Boutique uses this concept of bartering/trade to help cut our costs and it gives you, the volunteer, a boost too. If you can help us out with any of these items or services as indicated, then you can earn an EXCLUSIVE volunteer pre-sale pass! If you have other ideas of things to offer, please let us know.
We know that many of you have young children and volunteering at the sale is not your best option. This gives you a way to help us out and still earn a pass.
To earn your pass and to get the pass sent to you before the sale, you MUST provide us a list of locations where you placed cards or posters. Once your locations have been verified by OWB, your pass will be sent to you with the approval code for entry.
Posters
- Post a minimum of 10 sale posters advertising our sale around Central Illinois to receive a 4 hr. volunteer pre-sale pass.
- These colorful, professionally printed posters will need to be posted about 2-3 weeks before the sale.
- You must provide us with a list of locations where signs were posted in order to receive your pre-sale pass. Good locations include: daycares, physician/dental offices, fitness centers, grocery stores, dance/gymnastics studios, retail stores, churches, hair/tanning salons, women's restrooms and more.
- Please promptly remove posters following the sale.
- We need these signs to go in surrounding communities just as much as around C-U!
Promo Cards
- Place 100 cards (must be left at 6 or more locations) you earn a 4 hour volunteer pre-sale pass.
- Place 300 cards (must be left at 12 or more locations) you earn an 8 hour pre-sale pass!
- You must provide us with a list of locations where promo cards were placed in order to receive your pre-sale pass.
- Promo cards are colorful postcard size cards (good for FREE admission to the sale) that are great to pass out to customers or friends, to set on a counter, to give to moms at play groups, patients in a medical office or anywhere you see other moms. Set some out at the dance or gymnastic studio you attend or stick them in your teachers' mailboxes.
- We want to cover as many towns (big and small) as we can with these, so everyone's help is greatly appreciated!
- Give these cards to dads to pass out to the women at their work, too!
- These are super easy to go through very quickly.
TV/Radio/Newspaper Coverage
If you know someone that works at or if you work at one of the news stations or newspapers in Central Illinois and can get us interviewed before (or during) the sale, then you earn a worker pre-sale pass. Contact Donna@oneweekboutique.com about this option.
Gift Certificates/Gift Cards
- Provide a $25 gift card/certificate to a restaurant that delivers in C-U or one that is close to our sale, you will earn a 4 hr. pre-sale pass.
- We use these certificates to feed our volunteers while helping at our sale.
- We can also use gift cards from Wal-Mart or Home Depot to purchase supplies.
- Please email Bethany@oneweekboutique.com for specific restaurants we prefer (Jimmy John's, Monical's and more).
- There is not an 8 hr. pre-sale pass option for gift certificates.
- There will be a limit as to how many certificates we can accept.
